Approval of October Minutes

Presenters: Derek Blanton who presented PAC with a check for $118

Discussion:

Halloween Carnival:

• Next year we need to ensure all required forms and requests are into the District prior to the event; that we have more volunteers for clean-up.
• PAC had great feedback on the no-admission change.
• The flow was great, much improved; lots of positive comments received
• Profit from the carnival was $2,402.87
• Many thanks to all our volunteers: including Michelle Coker for the cakewalk and Bob the custodian for all his help on the snow day. All thank yous will be listed on the PAC website and in a holiday letter

Staff Appreciation Options:

• In the past cookie baskets were assembled by parent volunteers for all the staff.
• Suggestion of a wish list for classrooms or gift certificates.
• Decision made to present the teachers with $10 certificates from a Manitou business of their choice. Jennifer Kuzbek offered to contact the teachers with their options.
• Lisa Rankin volunteered to make thank you cards to accompany the gift certificates.

Fundraising Ideas:

• Weekend donations at the Peak Grill: Jennifer Kuzbek offered to contact them to ask if they would willingly donate partial proceeds for a fundraising adults only night.
• Whole Foods donations for reusable bag credit: Julie Lavigne offered to get more information about that.
• Suggestion to talk to teachers to see if they would be willing to do a fundraising night at Subway. Jan to follow-up. Mark Brost liked the idea and said he would volunteer.
• PAC in the park with maybe a bounce house and dunk tank for a spring date. Mark Brost said he would volunteer for the dunk tank!

Russ Vogel and staff hold meetings every other Wednesday from 3-4. PAC to request a few minutes at the next meeting to discuss mini-grants, wish lists and grocery certificates.

Staff Meeting:

Next meeting Tuesday, December 8th, at Noon for traditional PAC Holiday Lunch at the Keg. It was decided that we would provide light appetizers and invite everyone. Jan Rose to make reservations.
